Chapter Spotlight: Central Gwinnett High School

Special Olympics is right around the corner and the student athletes are getting ready. Many were in need of some measurables before their physicals and came to our HOSA chapter for assistance. On January 20, 35 of our special needs athletes came to our room to gather height and weight information. HOSA students were grouped into pairs and stationed at 4 different scales. Each group worked together to gather this information and properly document on the appropriate medical form. Additional members assisted with organizing the movement of athletes from the waiting area to an open scale. It was a special time for both the HOSA students and the athletes watching their connections and communications flow smoothly. This was a first time event for our chapter and will be one we can continue in the future.
