HOSA Service Projects
Georgia HOSA encourages Health Science students to provide community service through the adoption of goals and implementation of strategies related to the support of a national and state health care organization.
Every two years, the national and state organization select a service project partner to work with. Local HOSA chapters plan service projects to support the selected organizations.
State Service Project
American Red Cross-Disaster Relief
Georgia HOSA is proud to partner with the American Red Cross for the State Service Project. This year, donations can be received by mailing a check to Georgia HOSA with ARC in the memo field. Next year, we plan to use technology to set up chapter pages which will allow chapters to email friends and family to help reach your chapter goals while also viewing other chapters' progress across the state.
National Service Project
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
At the 2010 National Leadership Conference the Voting Delegates selected the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as the 2010-2012 National Service Project.
JDRF has provided HOSA with some great resources as we begin our partnership. Please follow the link below or go to the HOSA web site and click on the JDRF logo to access the resources. The JDRF Launch Kit will also be included in the 2010-11 Affiliation Packet.
